These Bird of Prey photography workshops offer an excellent opportunity to create images that most can only dream about whilst also learning new photography skills. For the more experienced photographer, the day provides an opportunity to hone skills such as high-speed photography.
We have three locations to choose from, which all offer different environments. Firstly in the beautiful rolling hills of Shropshire near Clee Hill. Secondly, new for 2022, at the picturesque A Day in The Country, in Oxfordshire, just a few minutes from junction 10 on the M40. Or last but not least at the historical and simply stunning Thoresby Park, in Nottinghamshire, part of Sherwood Forest.
All locations provide a wide variety of natural habitats to photograph in and we aim to respond to the weather conditions and seasons so every workshop gives different opportunities.
Each day commences around 10am and finishes at around 4pm. We start indoors with an illustrated talk with a focus on camera settings and composition. You will then start by taking static, portrait shots of the birds in beautiful natural settings.
As the day progresses we move onto flight shots, with a wide range of birds and styles. We aim to keep group sizes to around 6 photographers.
The availability of birds depends on their moulting season but we would have a wide selection from this list...
Great Grey Owl
Siberian Eagle Owl
Peruvian Striped Owl
White Gyr Falcon
