Photographer Claire Carter would like to invite you to join her and the falconer, Alistair from Hawkeye Falconry, in either the beautiful rolling hills of South Shropshire just 7 miles east of Ludlow and 14 miles from Kidderminster, or at Thoresby Park near Newark for a Bird of Prey Photography Workshop.
Claire has been running these workshops for the last 9 years and they offer an excellent opportunity to create photographs that most can only dream about whilst also learning new photography skills. For the more experienced it is a chance to hone skills such as high speed flight photography.
Both locations provide a wide variety of natural habitats to photograph in and we aim to respond to the weather conditions and seasons so every workshop gives different opportunities.
We start indoors with an illustrated talk with a focus on camera settings and composition. You will then start by taking static, portrait shots in beautiful natural settings.
As the day progresses we move onto flight shots (weather permitting). Occasionally we run special flight days for the more advanced photographers.
The availability of birds depends on their moulting season but we would have a minimum of 6 birds from this list.
Great Grey Owl
Siberian Eagle Owl
Peruvian Striped Owl
