Photographer Claire Carter and falconers Chris Neal and Alistair Leese would like to invite you to join us  in the beautiful rolling hills of South Shropshire just 7 miles East of Ludlow and a few minutes from Clee Hill village, for a Bird of Prey Photography Workshop.

Hawkeye Falconry UK is one of the most sought after falconry teams in the United Kingdom. The team, fronted by two of the most successful falconers in the United Kingdom, Chris Neal and Alistair Leese, have over 65 years collective experience of flying Falcons, Hawks, Owls and Eagles. In total, at the current time of writing, Hawkeye Falconry UK attain over 40 individual birds of prey, that are used for both public and private events.

These workshops offer an excellent opportunity to create images that most can only dream about whilst also learning new photography skills or for those more experienced a chance to hone field skills.

Images from previous workshops can be seen here.

Group workshops can be organised for a maximum of 10 participants - ideal for a camera club day out with very competitive rates.

We will have a minimum of 6 birds available at each workshop and every event will provide different opportunities according to season.

The day can be organised around what participants want - static shots for beginners or a day of flight shooting for the more advanced.

The location provides a wide variety of natural habitats to photograph in and we aim to respond to the weather conditions and seasons so every workshop gives different opportunities.

The atmosphere will be relaxed, with plenty of time to shoot each bird and ask questions. The falconers, who have a national reputation, will be on hand to share their expert knowledge of birds and local wildlife. I will offer advice as to appropriate techniques and camera settings and can be emailed before the event for questions relating to equipment, though static photographs can be achievable with even basic cameras. You can get so close you may even want to bring your macro lens!
